Thank you, GOATD Staff, for giving us the opportunity to acquire a great piece of software at no charge to us. After Wondershare Video Converter, DVD Ripper at giveawayoftheday, it’s time for Wondershare Music Converter, one of DRM Protection Removal Software.

I will never miss Wondershare software at giveaway of the day, of course including this Music Converter. I’d like to share my use experience with you:

The Good:
* Easy to use, it seems to all of Wondershare software design to very simple and very easy to use - friendly UI, just a few clinks to finish the task and don’t need any learn curve.
* “Remove DRM protection” may be the distinct features of this Music converter, and it will be a good news to those music fans who are keen on enjoying songs brought from iTunes, bought from Napster, Windows Media Player, Spiral Frog, etc
* Widely support many digital devices such as iPod, iPhone, Zune, PSP, Creative Zen, PS3, Xbox 360, Archos, Walkman and other portable players.
* The output quality seems ok, near the original quality with lossless.
* The conversion speed seems ok, I convert one DRM protected WMV files (about 100 M) with 10 Minutes.
* Support batch conversion for at most 5 DRM files.


The Bad:
* This Music Converter can’t auto upgrade at giveaway version.
* The batch conversion function only support DRM files, don’t support unprotected files
* Only convert video to audio format, can’t convert video to MP4, AVI and other popular video format, it seems that you need Wondershare Media Converter to do that.

#7 There are actually quite a few sources of free LEGAL downloads out there. Below is a short list of a couple sites that might help you and other people find some decent music. You probably won't find Kanye West or Pink but you will find tons of excellent music that is much better. Sorry if my html "tags" are screwed up:

Apple has stopped issue new DRM keys for audio track on iTunes, Microsoft and Amazon will follow too. Music without DRM will become a big trend.

And consumers have "fair use rights" to make a backup copy of their music. Notice, don't remove DRM for business USE just for personal backup. i think it will not violate the law in most country.

i think the violation against DRM depends on the method used to "remove" the DRM. this software probably doesn't remove DRM as in reproducing the original without DRM but making a file not the same as the original but containing the same content...this is probably why this software is not in direct violation of the law...

so it's not really the software that is violating the law but rather the purpose of the people using it...people who would violate would be those who use the software to create and distribute the "unprotected" files...for personal use, there's shouldn't be repercussions at all, since you do own the original...

I was going to say that, as an AMERICAN, it amazes me how very ignorant SOME Americans are when it comes to the Internet!

The Internet is world wide! This means people have access all over the world - at the same EXACT time! BUT who's time zone do you count? Personally I like to ZULU it (GMT). The other day another American was freaking out because people were up between 02:00 and 03:00 to download the new offerings for GAOTD. It might have been 2am for him but for me it is 09:00 (9am). How can he NOT know this?

Some countries, connected to the Internet AROUND the world, have laws similar to the laws in the US and some countries just laugh at some of the laws the American people are forced to endure! So please stop trying to force YOUR laws and YOUR morality on the rest of the world! MIND YOU - I said SOME Americans. This is why this is an EDUCATIONAL MESSAGE!

I had no problems downloading, installing and running this software.
