Tree Menu 2.9

Just for the edification of all: a tree menu is a part of a website (or any HTML document) which allows the user to navigate to another page. Sub-pages are grouped under main headings (Home, Products, contact, Downloads, etc.) and pop out when you select one of the main headings, giving you further choices. Regular HTML code doesn't do that, so Java scripts are used to get the popping up and motion effects. You can write them with a text editor, but it is a lot easier to use a program like today's giveaway; just like it's usually easier to use an HTML editor instead of notepad for a web page.
This is a very nice offer especially if you have the other Sothink menu products. However, as a standalone I’m suspect a user would be unable to fully appreciate this program. The reason I say that is the developers hype emphasizes “It is a family member of Sothink DHTML menu products”. Personally, I don’t have any major objections with them marketing this program that way. It’s common for developers to tie their products into a family then market them as a package deal. So you have to be cautious, keeping it in mind that there may be compatibility issues if you’re using some alternative program in conjunction with today's GOTD.
For an alternative, I would recommend COOLjsTree JavaScript Tree Menu. It's a program enabling the user to expand/collapse unlimited levels of the tree without the hassle of reloading. Another plus is that the script does not require FRAME or IFRAME tag for work.

Downloaded, installed, and registered fine on Vista Home Premium 32-bit OS. Nice user interface and packed with many rich features.
Freeware alternative (eTreeMenu) may be downloaded at: http://www.etreemenu.com (version 5.0 is compatible with Vista).
I was waiting for this from the time Sothink DHTML menu showed up at GAOTD!
Software is working nicely.
You can preview menu by default in IE but can easily add Firefox to the list. A minor issue for me though: Does not allow command line arguments for Firefox which I use to load a default Firefox profile ("firefox.exe" -Profile "username.default").
Thumbs up! VERY EASY! Works great on XP sp2 here. :) Yes, this is for webpage building, & it's really nice. I usually do my own html for my sites, but the thrill is gone, & I could really use these very easy to do, professional menus. Maybe my site won't take so long to re-build next time I have to do that again, which is any day now. GREAT webpage helper!
Thanks SoThink & GOTD! :)Maybe I shouldn't say this, but..I really appreciate that you let us have a reg key, as I will probably get to use this once before I have to do a reformat AGAIN, & I'd sure be sad to only get to use it once! :)
Вроде полезная прога, окончательно судить еще рано.. ;)
