Just a note that this turns your PC into a webserver, and therefore your whole PC is open to anyone on the Internet to download. People will probably say, 'its safe' and 'protection', but if banks can get hacked, Facebook can lose data and companies lose their data on a near-daily basis, you can bet there is a backdoor to this, or send it a malicious request and it'll crack like a pack of cards. Apache and Nginx are the main webservers, and regularly come out with updates and patches as people find ways to break them.
Install this with caution. There are dedicated file sharing services out there (many of them free, like WeTransfer) which will keep your PC where it belongs, on the inside of the Internet.

Nasuno, A virtualbox is no 'sandbox' for hackers. Its entirely possible to 'tunnel through' the virtualbox to get access to the real computer. This scared me too when I saw it.

So this is otherwise known as 1AVShare, according to the screenshots on the product's home page?

If so, does this include the sharing of a live camera video stream or on-screen activity as evidenced in those pictures, or was that a mistake since (another product) "1AVCenter includes the product File Sharing Pro with all of its features" is otherwise shown among the screenshot text?

Is there a Mac download available for today, or can we use the product's homepage download for that?

Also, I would appreciate opinion on the following:

As long as File Sharing Pro webserver is not running, is there still a risk of being hacked, despite not being professional managed and patched on a daily basis. I.E., will limiting "exposure time" -- to only that required for known visitors to "do their business" and upload/download files -- be sufficient to likewise limit drawing attention to the presence of a webserver? I do see that visitors can be restricted via the "Ability to assign the pages a user is allowed to visit" which sounds nice.

HMarx, I've not seen the software, but it might run as a service and just 'block access' if 'turned off' rather than shut down. If so, then you're still open and connected, ready to be exploited.
I've seen an old Win 95 box hacked within thirty minutes of connecting it to the Internet so 'exposure time' means nothing - if it'll respond to a ping, it will be found.
Ability to assign pages to a known user is probably meaningless. Good for the casual user, but unless it has decent password/encryption/two-factor authorisation, then you may as well consider the files in the public domain and someone else will have access to them. DOn't use this for confidential or sensitive information.
