Initially, the program installs where IT want rather than offering a choice - something I really DO NOT like.
You then need to obtain a disposable email address, go to the link in the readme file and immediately I was sent the code to activate the full version for just 6 mths. After the 6 mnths, I assume that It then reverts to a not so well reviewed, free version.

I don't like that type of installer either, however for this program, that is not the case. When the setup program starts, it has a large green button labeled "Install Now" and under that is a link for "Custom." If you click Custom, you will see that you can choose a different location to install to. The problem with this program is that the Giveaway is titled "Driver Easy Pro" but after activation, it does not state that it is the Pro edition, and instead offers the user a link to upgrade to the Pro edition. Before updating any drivers, you should make sure you Back Up all of your existing drivers. The Driver Easy Pro can do that for you, but this edition cannot. The title of this Giveaway should be changed; it is deceiving otherwise.
from my experience of running drivers update apps, I often get different results from different apps sometimes they install wrong version. One has to be careful and do backup.

Downloaded, installed and registered without issue on Win10x64.
What I am very often confused by with these driver update programs is that they often conflict with what the computer system states. For example, a scan with this tells me I have 22 drivers out of date. When I check each of those drivers in the systems "Device Manager" that states "the best drivers for your device are already installed".
Not criticising this software as the same thing happens with other such programs. I just wonder why the conflict.

Проблема устаревших драйверов временами заставляет немного подергаться ручками. Однако, есть много БЕСПЛАТНЫХ програм, без лицензии на (хе!) полгода, которые готовы заменить вааще все ваши устаревшие драйвера. Даже драйвер мышки (не поддавайтесь на провокацию, ставится вообще-то совместимый драйвер, но для совсем другого; просто он более новый). Да! И чтобы не стать жертвой этой провокации (а также многих прочих), НИКОГДА НИ ПРИ КАКИХ УСЛОВИЯХ не соглашайтесь на про-версии програм апдейта драйверов, даже если их Вам дают задарма! Потому что главное отличие про-версий от бесплатных - это АВТОМАТИЧЕСКОЕ обновление драйверов без участия пользователя. И если у тебя повалится комп из-за установленных драйверов, которые не соответствуют железу и системе (было такое!), то в бесплатной версии, меняя драйвера один за одним, ты хоть поймешь после восстановления системы, где тебя надрали (БЫЛО!). А с этими про-версиями, которые всё ставят на конвейер, который ты не контролируешь, точно жди беды!
Программы по обновлению драйверов ГАРАНТИРОВАННО могут повалить Вашу систему, и по своим возможным разрушительным последствиям далеко превосходят программы для чистки реестра. Лучше брать бесплатные, пусть с навязываемыми программами (которые можно не устанавливать или потом снести), но зато с пошаговым исправлением драйверов, без потокового режима. Там, знаете, в этих облачных хранилищах драйверов подобных программ иногда бывает, что идентификатор хардвера и драйвера приписан совсем другой программе. Я уже нарывался. И категорически советую брать бесплатную программу.
К сожалению, лазать в поисках драйвера для старой железки по сайтам изготовителя часто вообще бессмысленно. Изготовителю что нужно? Продать новую железку взамен старой. С новыми драйверами. А если старая еще работает? Это замечательно, что некоторые люди собрали когда-то старые недоступные теперь драйвера (впрочем, как и новые), и ты можешь обновить свою систему. Только, умоляю: не в автоматическом режиме платных программ, когда ты не поймешь, на какой стадии комп перестал загружаться и превратился в полумертвый кусок железа! (да, только - восстановление системы!)
